EGHA AD 2.20  LOCAL AERODROME REGULATIONS

1  Airport Regulations
  1. No domestic pets or animals allowed airside, with the exception of dogs, on leads, accompanied by resident or visiting pilots.

  2. No formation flights within ATZ without prior permission of Airfield Management.

  3. Outside published hours of watch, only resident aircraft and those pre-booked for the onsite engineer are permitted to use the airfield. All these flights must be notified, prior to time, as per Airfield Standing Orders.

2  Ground Movement
  1. Due to prop-wash do not park aircraft facing north in front of the buildings.

  2. Please respect grass surfaces, particularly in wet conditions. If landing long please consider another approach in order to avoid excessive braking which can cause the grass surface to be badly damaged.

  3. Do not park in front of Polly Tunnel Hangars.

3  CAT II/III Operations

4  Warnings
  1. The ground to the north of the runway has a steep slope gradient.

  2. Trees along the southern aerodrome boundary will cause turbulence on the approach to Runway 08 and 26 when the wind has a southerly component.

  3. Multiple trees penetrate the Approach and Take-Off Surfaces by as much as 23 FT. Multiple trees penetrate the Transitional Surface to south west of the runway by as much as 31 FT.

  4. Beacon with strobe in Southern Transition Surface penetrates surface by 9 FT.

  5. Check for any aerobatic or other specialist flying activity within the ATZ prior to arrival.

  6. Public footpath crosses the under/overshoot to the east of Runway 26 threshold aligned in a north/south direction.

  7. Do not carry out Orbits, within the Circuit, for spacing or any other purpose.

5  Helicopter Operations
  1. Join long final (5 miles) for designated runway, giving way to any established circuit traffic. Parking area to the south east of the aerodrome.

6  Use of Runways
  1. Aircraft to clear left after landing on Runway 26 and right after landing on Runway 08.

  2. The Runway 08/26 QDM markers are located before the start of the runway.

  3. 100 M unlicensed extension each end of runway.

  4. Do not confuse runway edge lines with a runway centre-line. There is no runway centre-line.

7  Training
  1. No training on the airfield without permission of management.

EGHA AD 2.21  NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES

  1. Departure.

    1. Runway 08 - At end of runway (not before), turn left in order to avoid Hatts Barn Farm.

    2. Runway 26 - At end of runway (not before), turn right, in order to avoid Compton Abbas village, tracking over the crest of Melbury Hill.

EGHA AD 2.22  FLIGHT PROCEDURES

  1. Circuit directions: Runway 26 - RH; Runway 08 - LH.

  2. All traffic to join overhead or dead-side descending to 1800 FT QNH to cross the upwind runway numbers. All circuits to the north. Circuit altitude 1800 FT QNH. QFE available on request.
